Making a List and checking it twice, is a line that we often use at Christmas, but that is our life in June of 2010.  We are making all kinds of lists: what we need to do, what can we take, what do we leave behind, when will we actually be leaving etc….  When many others our age are planning retirement we are trying to launch out into a new endeavor that could reasonably take another twenty years to complete.

As you probably already know Cathy and I are planning to move to Salta, Argentina as soon as possible.   We have been involved in short term missions outreaches and projects in this region since 2003.  We believe the Lord is now directing us to live there in order to:

1. Establish a new permanent HHM mission base

2. Do Acts of mercy in the name of Jesus, such as  arsenic filtration systems, free eye glass clinics, and many other things as the Lord guides and directs us.

3. Establish “Houses of Good News” (small house churches) in Northwestern Argentina where hundreds of villages and towns have no protestant churches.

4. Launch a short wave radio station that can bring sound teaching and encouragement to the widely scattered believers, and allow the local “Houses of Good News” to reach out to their communities with the gospel.

5. Plant HHM churches in towns that are large enough to sustain a more traditional congregational model.

I will also continue to serve as the International director and Senior Pastor of His Heart Missions Fellowship.  With the advances in the world of technology, international communication is so much easier now than when Cathy and I first moved to South America in 1991,  Actually I hope we can be more in touch than ever before.

Other than a few last minute lists we have to complete, only the finances are preventing us from relocating to Argentina.
